First Speeding Ticket (South Carolina + 17) Help?
Unfortunately, I received my first speeding ticket EVER today. After all the personal upset and the parental lectures, I'm trying to find out the best way to handle this situation. Here are the details.
Radar clocked me at 75 in a 55, but the officer reduced that to 64/55 (less than 10mph over)
No previous traffic violations (or any violations)
Ticket was $81.
Is it best to go to court? Do I plead guilty or not guilty? How many points will this add to my license? Will my insurance go up?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this whole breaking the law thing. Well, at least the getting caught part, lol.
Pay it off before your court day (address is on ticket.)(it is same as a guilty plea. But, if you go to court there will be extra fees, and they'll still find you guilty)Then, consider yourself lucky...go your way and quit speeding...Learn your les'n and take your me'cn
