What is a good way to get buisness for a personal trainer.?
I'm about to finish my certification to begin training. I know word of mouth is the best way to find customers. do you know of any other ways that work well? thank you.
You should check out trade shows in your area on health and fitness. They have them all the time. Put an ad on Craigslist, in your local paper, an ad in any free city flyers that people pick up every week. One really good way to generate business is to go to a gym (hopefully one that doesn't already have contracted personal trainers) and bring a friend. Tell the friend you will give them free training to help you generate business. So, you will go to the gym and people will see you working with someone and start asking you or your friend questions on how they can get on board. The only way I know this works is because my friend was helping me so much at the gym people started approaching her thinking she was a trainer. She ended up teaching a class for the gym.
