For a persuasive essay, would softball becoming a bigger sport be a good topic?
I have a persuasive essay due around 4 weeks, and I was wondering if my topic was a good one:
Why softball should become a more state wide sport
My three arguments would be:
1) Most sports have men and women i.e. basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf, swimming, etc.
2) It's very similar to baseball
3) It gives a chance for people to see women play the same sport that men do with a little change & and gives opportunities to be more dedicated to softball
And my counter argument is that some people might think it's too boring. In baseball, the men usually tend to hit it farther and longer and everything, whereas a lot of times, the women just hit grounders.
Please give me your opinions. It would be really helpful for me. Thanks 
NO! i think its a great essay to write on. I love softball its my lifeee, but how bout instead of a more state wide sport it should be a more nation wide sport. i would say replace your second argument about it being similar to baseball (to bland) and change it too the thing after the & in the 3rd argument about oppertunities to be more dedicated. i think you would do fine than! oh wait the counter arguement instead of using the word boring try a different one like some people may think that softball is INFERIOR to baseball thats a relaly good word to use! goodluck! hope you get an A+ hehe (:
