do i have a concussion>????

ok so heres the story......i was at the softball feilds watching championchip games and i wasnt looking at one point bc i was playing catch with my friend and someone up to bat hits the ball foul over a 25 foot net so the ball had to go atleast a good 30 ft. and it hit me really hard on the top of my head. i have a bump there now and i keep getting head aches on the left side of my head only and my pupils are dialated. i might be going to the dr. tomorrow but i would just like to have an idea on if i might have one or not and if u think i do how would they treat it? please answer soon.

How long ago did this occur?

I'm not necessarily sure if you would have a concussion but I would highly suggest that you still have either an FNP or MD (doctor) look at you for further diagnosis (due to the fact your pupils are dilated and are not responding to the changes in light).

If you begin to become confused, your headache becomes worse, you begin to vomit, become weak or become very tired, or begin to see things un-clearly I would suggest you go the E.R (as those are all signs of a concussion).

As far as the pain in your head goes, try to apply either an ice pack or cold compress to the left side of your head for intervals of 20-30 minutes (20 minutes on/20 minutes off). You can also take some pain reliever such as Motrin, Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Just take it easy for the time and be careful!!
