I need to know how to chat with the cops online, just in case of emergency, any websites?? please tell me!!! i have this huge house that is brand new to us, i stay home alone most of the times and i here really weird noises, and scary things have happend to me in this house, our sliding door opened on itself and i fear that one day it will open and someone will be in our house, i also locked the door leading to the pool, the latch, the screen dor and every thing, and when i came back it was all unlocked.... i need protection and safety... i am 13 and i luv staying home alone, but i need safety, in case something happends!!!
Remember that all houses make noises, that is what is called settling. It is some thing that houses do. Mine still does it and it was built in the 50's so it's really old. They are very heavy objects that are sitting in one place, they are bound to make noises as they settle on the ground.
The longer you live there the more you will get use to the noises that it makes, the noises it makes will become familiar to you.
I don't know how many people live in your house, but some one must be leaving these door open. Doors do not unlock them selves, that just doesn't happen. Some one is being scatter brained and leaving them open. Get after every body to be more aware of locking things behind them, let them know that it's important to you so that you will feel comfortable.
Get to know your neighbors around you and get their phone numbers from them. Also keep the number for the police station as well as your neighbors phone numbers by each phone so that you will not have to search for it should you feel the need to call any of them.
If you just relax, with in a couple of days you will feel more at ease since you will begin to feel that your home is now really your new home and no one elses. Its always weird for any one when they first move into a new house, but that feeling will soon fade away.
Keep your self busy, either reading or watching TV do things to keep your mind busy. Stop worrying about every little noise that you hear or your going to drive your self crazy with it.
