Cardio and strength training together ?

Will it be okay to do a cardio and strength training together in one gym session on the same day ? There are quite a lot of conflicting info on the net and it's pretty confusing.

Also, are supplements and personal trainer absolutely necessary in training fast ? As far as I can see, they cost a bomb and I don't think I will be able to afford too much like that.

It's absolutely fine to do both in one session. It may not be the most optimal way of doing things, but positively tons of gym-goers do it, so there must be something to that. Besides, if you're pressed for time, do what you need to do to put in that work.

Personal trainer is almost never necessary in my opinion except if you're an absolute beginner. If you don't know proper bench press form, then you can consider yourself a beginner. And if you're an absolute beginner and THINK you know/have proper form, describe your form to an experienced lifter or have them explain it to you. If it doesn't sync up, you're too green and need a personal trainer. Not just so that you can see results (because honestly, most personal trainers aren't going to help you meet any maximum results, they'll only help you get to general fitness), but for safety. Improper form doesn't just keep you from hitting higher weights/repetitions, but it's also dangerous both short term and long. You don't need to have a personal trainer forever, just a month and only agree to that month on the basis that the personal trainer is giving you a crash course in lifting.

Supplements are actually opposite the personal trainer thing. As a beginner, it's kind of worthless, in my opinion, to be using supplements. You're going to see such great results anyway, it's not worth it. Supplement use is for when you start reaching plateaus or peaking, and you need to break down those walls, or if you're a serious athlete. Even then, there's other methods that can be used to get over humps in your training, but supplements help nonetheless. But, honestly, if you can't afford supplements, you can't afford them. Just eat right and drink lots of water and you shouldn't see much, if any, need for supps.

Good luck, friend.
