3. Philadelphia 76ers....50-32
4. Orlando Magic.........46-36
5. Toronto Raptors.......47-35
Cleveland Cavaliers..47-35
7. Indiana Pacers.........41-41

Indiana and Charlotte in the playoffs? Miami out at 9? Washington all the way back at 11? Philly wth 50 wins?
What do you guys think of these predictions?
I think theyre a little off.
yeah espn analysists have a tendency to not seperate conception from fact:
i agree with the first 3 standings:. boston will continue to be the best in the east. (kg pierce and allen still have enough left in the tank, and rondo and perk will nly get better).
i think the pistons will get the 2nd spot but only by a little, their older than ever and i think teams like philly will put a lot of pressure on them.
phillys a team that i really like this year. brand provides a lot for that team, offense defense, low post threat etc. look for them to challenge the pistons.
4. i like the cavs here. i think mo williams will rly give them a boost. hes a shooter who will be much more effective with lebron than uhm lets say larry hughes
5. magic- it depends on the devlopment of dwigh howard (i think he'll be excellent). i doubt turkolglu will play the way he did last year. and rashard lewis is 3 point gunner but no defense. point guard is weak, with nelson and company. look for them to be that weakens down.
6. raptors- if o'neal is healthy, but he never is, the raptors have the best back court. bosh and oneal thats formidable. however both are consistently injured. if o'neal is gone for a long time, it weakens them significantly. their record will rly depend on their bigs health.
7. it could go both ways, the heat or the wizards. i'll stay with the wizards because they've proven the can win without arenas, while the heat are totally lost without d-wade. but then again butler is oft injured and besides for jamison there isn't much. you have stevenson, who thinks hes an all-star, and a young nick young. their bigs are always injured as well but then again they've proven they can win.
8. miami heat- i really like this team. they could even get in as a 6h seed. i think marion and wade will rly be a good fit and dont forget beasley throw him in there you have a solid team, thats lacking a true BIg and PG. if wade stays healthy and beasley plays like a player that shud have been a first overall pick the heat will make a strong push for the 6th seed.
outside loking in:
chicago- no go to guy, with a surplus of guards and no good big men. that will rly hurt them
hawks- no bench now that childress is gone and bibby has played poorly ever since his arrival. i dont think they can dublicate the success they had last year.
