Are these measurements good? For a guinea pig cage?
40 inches long and 37 inches wide.
Only one Guinea pig will be there, and they only need 30" x 36" for one Guinea pig, so will this be okay?
I am going to make a C&C cage, but The Guinea Pig will be in my bedroom, because my room is very big, and i have a Play spot for free time and everything set up.
But i am Keeping her cage in a certain spot, and the measurements fit it perfectly.
But will the space be enough?
Thanks in advance. =)
The minimum recommended cage size for one or two piggies is 7.5 - 8 sq feet of floor space, although bigger is always better.
The cage you describe (40 x 37) gives just over 10 sq feet of space - so it is a great size! (Well done).
Good luck with your c+c cage - I would not be without mine, they are the best cages. I also love the fact you can join the cubes with zip ties to make a cage that fits you space perfectly.
Just want to add that if possible please get two guinea pigs. They are a social species and really do need the company of their own kind.
