How can I improve my times in swimming?
I am in the age group of 14 & under girls. These are my times:
100 Free--1:12.36
200 Free--2:38.45
50 Free--31.92
100 Breast--1:44.83
100 Back--1:33.98
Any suggestions/feedback at all would be lovely. Be honest please. I know I'm not very good, but I want more than anything to get better. My swim team starts practice in October, and its pretty intense then. I would like to get better before then though, because if I can swim a 50 in under 30 sec, I can be in a new practice group that is more intense and therefore would make me better. Before practices start, I have little to no access to a pool, so don't tell me to practice please, I know that would be the best thing, but I can't for the moment.
These are all shortcourse yard times.
Look, I really do not have access to a pool in the offseason! Some people need to read the details!

welll... i am a swimmer as well... and there are a few ways to get faster.
1) Running. It improves leg muscles, abs, and endurance to allow you to gain strength to improve times
2) Ab workouts. Most strokes come from your abs, so its important to make sure they are nice and toned
3) healthy food.
4) get mad before you swim. It always works for me.
