Is there any way some AL team doesn't sign Barry Bonds?
First of all, I don't care what you think of him, or what you think you know he did... my point is, the guy is still one of the best hitters in the game. He's knocking one out every 12 at-bats and still has 28 homers despite seeing fewer strikes than any hitter in baseball. Put him in the DH spot where all he has to do is hit, in a lineup where they can't just walk him 150 times a year, and I think he's still capable of 35-40 home runs.
frostylad, as a DH who would only have to take his 4 or 5 plate appearances and then would get to sit in the dugout and rest his legs instead of playing the outfield, I don't think he'd need as many days off as he needs now. And to those who talk about how the fans would receive him, we all know you think differently of a guy when he's doing his thing in your team's uniform... there are a lot of people out there who hate Bonds but wouldn't hate him so much if he could hit 35 home runs for their team next year.
I really think the angels might get him, The opposing team wont be able to walk vlad anymore if they sign bonds because he will be hitting behind him. The angels also need a power hitter so Barry would really fit in at Los Angeles well.
