How important is is for me to install padding with my carpet?
I rent my apartment so I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on a carpet for my 10x11 bedroom. I was looking at purchasing nylon but it's a bit more expensive. I might just stick with polyester. How long does polyester carpet last? I don't need that 10-15 yr warranty stuff lol...And about the padding, how important is it? What happens if I just buy the carpet and glue it right on my bare floors? Thanks in advance for your help! 
you can skip the pad if you want to.
and just use double sided tape to stick it to the floor.
